I can’t tell you what this new Justin Bieber song sounds like because I couldn’t hear it over the sound of my own laugh. Laughing at myself for going through all of this craziness to download a song. At midnight. On a Sunday.

I like the direction. Sure there’s some Timberlake resemblance in there but I’m not mad at it. Great hook. I have a hard time comparing him to the Ying Yang Twins because… I just can’t.

F you Scooter Braun and JB for putting me through this. Weeks of counting down for a single? Just put it in my ears already! Can you imagine what the process for this whole album is gonna be? Ugh. I can’t take the anticipation. I live in 2012 I need everything NOW.
I did like the interactivity of the whole process, non-stop Tweeting, letting fans choose the cover - although seriously? it was Andrew Keegan in 10 Things I Hate About You, holding up 2 pictures that were awfully similar. All my friends thought the other option was the obvious winner but I was partial to this one.
Gonna get back to laughing at myself for writing such serious thoughts about a Justin Bieber single at 12:30 am on a Sunday night… wow.
But honestly? This feels great. Can’t remember the last time I was this excited for music. So congrats to Bieber and the brilliant people he has working with him. I’m bracing myself for the buildup to this album that I’m sure I’ll love. But I don’t need all the hype! I know I’m literally saying don’t hype it, I don’t need the buzz, I know I’ll like it! But who’s the lady furiously refreshing iTunes at midnight?
