Hi friends,
Friday was my last day at SiriusXM. I spent almost 7 years of my life, of my 20s!, there so it will always be extremely important to me. Radio was my first love, but it’s 2012 and it’s time to start romancing the Internet. The skills I’ve learned there and the friends I’ve made are the foundation for the rest of my career and life.
On top of that? I’ve met superheroes, supermodels, superstars and superdorks. I made my comedy heroes laugh! I am so grateful everyday for the chance to be able to tell the people that live on my TV and iPod how much I enjoy their work and so happy to be continuing this in my new job.
On Monday I start producing video content at OK Magazine online. I’m feeling creative, so excited, and ready to work hard so we’ll see what video babies are born from that!
I will still be a part of Hellogiggles in some capacity as well. I love that site and everyone that is a part of it and am honored they let me be my silly self there.
Before I left Sirius, I walked around realizing how much I had cried, laughed, and grown in that building. Sure, I’m a little nervous about being in a new office where I’ll be holding back on the butt jokes I am so used to making with my former coworkers (and that’s on a tame day). I can only hope I luck out and work with people that are as lovely and supportive. And I’m sure they’ll come around to the butt jokes.
I’ve made friends in the hallways, in the studio, on the phone, on Twitter and it has been nothing short of incredible. Please know I value all of the interactions I’ve had – on-air, online, and in person. I am counting on your encouragement, support and even retweets in my new adventure!
And as we approach a new year, wishing everyone who is thinking about making a big-girl (or big-boy) life decision the courage to go for it. High five!
